Application Process

The application process each year is extensive and for predominately 9th graders may be the first complex process they have been a part of. The application requires the student to draft expository responses to several questions and to think critically about why they want to join this program. The reviews have multiple levels

Make it

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.

  • First, there will be an ELT in the College and Career Center in late January or early February with a code posted to join the application Google Classroom. Then, a Google Form will be posted asking questions about who you are as a person, kinda like a personality test with questions such as what animal you would be and what your Myers-Briggs personality type is.

Make sure you fill it out by the deadline, we do not want you to miss out because the form was not finished in time! Secondly, make sure to be yourself. Leading with authenticity makes it clear to us why you are fit for this program and what you need from us to succeed.

  • In this application, you should be unapologetically yourself. You can write about a variety of things from the years you spent doing a sport to how much you love spending time with your friends. Tell us about how these experiences shape you as a person and how they will help you flourish in this program. We just want to see who you are.

  • After the applications are organized and judged, you will receive either a letter telling you that you got in or an email telling you that you did not or you are wait-listed.
